Flexible Assessment and Question Types

Brainsbuilder assessments can be used to construct Graded Exams, Questionnaires, Personality Tests - and more.

Brainsbuilder assessments have a question type which is and flexible, yet simple. This question type is used to construct many types including Multiple Choice, True/False, Dropdown Select, Survey Question Types, Choose One, Choose All that Apply, Agree/Disagree, Excellent/Poor - etc.

Additionally you can have Free Text (open ended) questions as part of your assessment.

Allow your respondents to move backwards or forwards through the assessment or force them to answer each question when moving forward through the assessment.

Allow a point to be taken off for each question answered incorrectly.

Choose Where the Assessment is Taken

Respondents can come to the Brainsbuilder web site to take the assessment or your assessment can be included as part of your web site (linked assessment), alternatively you can cut-and-paste a link and distribute the assessment in an email.

Customizable Assessment Templates

Your assessment look and feel can be customized to match the look and feel of your web site or corporate identity.

Change the text on buttons etc (assessment labels). You can even choose the amount of questions to display per page.

Easily customize your assessments with a logo.

Additionally you can easily change the background colour, fonts to quickly change the look and feel of your assessments.

If you have knowledge of HTML (Hyper-text Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) you can customize your assessments even more.

Flexible Assessment Login

As well as First Name, Last Name, and Email you may capture up to 8 additional login fields to capture personal information such as gender, region, position, etc. Assessments may be set as anonymous to hide respondent identity with or without login fields.

Multi-Level Randomization

Questions and question options can be presented in a random or sequential order. This can be set for each section and question.

Assessment Review and Explanations

Indicate exactly what the respondent should see at the end of their assessment for a review, if anything at all. Show them all questions or only the questions they have scored incorrect. Show them the correct answers or only a custom explanation or comment.

Multi-language Support

Support for international character sets. Brainsbuilder provides full UTF-8 support.

Rich Media

Customise your assessments by including GIF, JPEG or PNG images.

Timed Assessments

Specify that a respondent has a given number of hours and minutes to complete an assessment. When the time expires, the respondent will be automatically scored and completed.

Timing can also be set per question, this allows a number of seconds to complete a question or page of questions. When the time has run out the respondent will automatically be prompted to move on to the next question.

Question Pooling

Respondents can answer limited amount of random questions from a pool of a larger amount of questions for each section.

Detailed Assessment Results

Review summary or detail information by respondent or question. Brainsbuilder provides multiple ways to review answers provided by each respondent or question. Brainsbuilder provides graphical reviews for easy data analysis. You can gather important statistics to assist you in determining how well your respondents did overall on the assessment. Get the mean, median etc.

Filterable Assessment Results

Respondents can be grouped together in various ways and these groups can be compared. Filter out groups of respondents from your results to enable you to view exactly the data you want to see.

Print Assessments

Print your assessments to paper.

Microsoft Excel® Summary Export

Export summary level information for each respondent as a CSV file (easy to access using Microsoft Excel and other popular spreadsheets).

E-Mail Notifications

Send email notifications each time an assessment is completed by a respondent to either a single administrator or a custom listing of email addresses that you provide.

Enable or Disable an Assessment

Take an assessment offline to make it inaccessible by your respondents.
